American Wire & Cable has over 50 years of dedication supplying insulated lead-wire. Commitment and focus today are stronger then ever. The wire mill processes copper to manufacture 22 through 4 AWG conductor in various stranding, construction, and bare or tinned finishes.  The two extrusion plants located in Northern Ohio and Central Tennessee apply PVC, XLPE, EPDM, Silicone Rubber (optional with fiberglass braid jacket), and other insulation. Finished product ships world wide with a 2-3 week lead-time. While the core business remains appliance wire the product line has been expanded. Appropriate UL and CSA certifications are maintained for Appliance Wiring Material, Fixture Wire, Flexible Cord, Machine Tool Wire, Thermoplastic-insulated wire, Thermoset-insulated wire, Recreational Vehicle Cable, and Boat Cable. Automotive and SAE type wires are manufactured to J-1128, J-1127, and J-378 standards.  Our product line is shaped by our customers and evolves as their needs progress.
